2010 Toyota Camry

New 2010 Toyota Camry
The new 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid will be one the most sought after cars in the Australian Market. Toyota Australia says the true purpose of the hybrid Camry is to save on fuel and be the first hybrid to be built in Australia.

It is sure to become popular with government and private buyers as Australians warm to the concept of hybrids.

The new Toyota Camry has the same technology the Prius, with the obvious exception of having electric power, thereby eliminating the air pollution factor.

Production is likely to begin in December2009, and Hybrid Toyota Camrys should be in Toyota dealer yards in February 2010.

The new Camry will be powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor generator.

This will get its power from a hybrid battery that will be charged from a 240 volt household outlet. This will mean that this model will run at 7 litres per 100km or less, depending on where it is driven.

Toyota Australia’s senior executive director sales and marketing David Buttner said the new 2010 Toyota Camry will change people's perceptions about buying and driving electric powered vehicles in Australia.
